SPARK is a ministry built to create a Christ-centered, safe, and caring environment where individuals with special needs are not just accommodated—but fully embraced, deeply valued, and intentionally supported. We care for the whole person, so each individual can experience God’s love, grow in faith, and live fully as the unique creation God designed them to be.

Because we believe this:

Every person is made in the image of God. Every person belongs.

For too long, many individuals and families have walked into churches wondering:

“Is there a place for me here?

SPARK exists to answer that with a clear and resounding:

“Yes. You are seen. You are known. You are loved.”

THE VISION

A church community where individuals with special needs are not merely welcomed, but truly seen, known, and loved - by us and by God. We envision a space where every person can belong, thrive, and participate meaningfully, discovering their God-given identity and purpose while being empowered to live confidently and authentically as part of the body of Christ.

frequently asked questions

When does SPARK launch, and when does it meet?

SPARK officially launches on April 19, 2026! We meet during the 11am service at our North Campus. After the worship portion of the service, participants are dismissed to SPARK, where they'll be welcomed, supported, and cared for by our team.

Where exactly does SPARK take place?

SPARK is located at our North Campus and runs during the 11am service. Our team will be ready to guide you when you arrive — just let any greeter or volunteer know you're looking for SPARK.

Is there anything I need to do before my first visit?

Yes — we ask that families complete a brief intake form before attending for the first time. This helps our team understand your loved one's needs and be fully prepared to serve them well from the moment they walk in.

Complete the intake form HERE

Once the form is submitted, you should expect an intake call from one of our leads with follow up questions and additional details about what to expect on your loved one's first day at SPARK.

Why is an intake form required?

Every person who comes to SPARK is unique, and we never want to treat anyone as one-size-fits-all. The intake form gives us the information we need — communication preferences, sensory sensitivities, medical considerations, and more — so we can serve your individual or child with intention, not guesswork.

Who is SPARK for?

SPARK welcomes individuals of all ages with any type of special need — including developmental, intellectual, physical, sensory, and behavioral differences. If you or someone you love has ever felt unsure whether there was a place for them at church, SPARK exists for exactly that person.

Does my child need a diagnosis to participate?

No diagnosis is required. We don't ask for paperwork before we welcome someone. If your family has a need, we want to work with you — whatever that looks like.

Can adults with special needs participate, or is this only for children?

SPARK is for individuals of all ages. Adults with special needs are fully included in our ministry. Everyone belongs here — not just kids.

What does the SPARK experience look like during the service?

Families worship together in the main service to start. After the worship portion concludes, SPARK participants are dismissed to their dedicated space, where our trained team takes over. The environment is sensory-friendly, individually supported, and centered on the same Christ-centered values as the rest of our church.

Who are the SPARK volunteers and how are they trained?

Our volunteers are background-checked and trained in special needs ministry best practices. Training covers communication strategies, sensory sensitivities, de-escalation, and how to create a warm, safe environment. Most importantly, they genuinely love the people they serve.

What if my loved one has significant behavioral or medical needs?

Please reach out before your first visit so we can talk through your loved one's specific needs and make sure we're fully prepared. The intake form is a great starting point, and our team is always happy to connect by phone or email as well.

Is there support for the whole family, not just the individual?

Absolutely. We know that families of individuals with special needs carry a lot — and we want you to be able to worship, rest, and connect too. Our goal is that the whole family feels seen and cared for, not just the person we're directly serving.
